EDUCATION REPORT SUMMER 2008, cont'd.
I want
to acknowledge the path that was paved for our Association in
education by past education chairs; Terry Bolt, Peg Palmer, Linda
McCartney, Maryann Baake and all those 2nd Vice
Presidents who preceded them worked long and hard to create a
comprehensive educational program. Terry campaigned to get us three
classrooms at the three major training sites so that we could offer
more than one level of training to the clerks. Each of the
education chairs put in long hours to refine and improve our
education and they all deserve huge amounts of credit and thanks for
that. Your creative ideas and hard work have made the progress
we’re seeing now possible.
Thanks to my committee members who put in extra hours in
planning and at the conferences to make things run smoothly. It’s
an honor and a pleasure to work on the education program and I am
grateful for this opportunity.
