The purpose
of the New York State Association of Magistrates Court Clerks, Inc.
is to provide continuing education and training for the Court Clerks
in all the state’s town and village courts. The goal is to be
recognized as honorable members of the justice system who present
themselves as professional and efficient in all aspects of
performing the duties of their office.
In keeping with Article II of the Association By-Laws the purposes
of this organization are:
To accomplish a close liaison with the Office
of Court Administration, the Office of the State Comptroller, the
Department of Criminal Justice Services, the Department of Motor
Vehicles, all law enforcement agencies, the Office of the District
Attorney in each county and the State Magistrates Association.
To conduct job-related educational and
training seminars and/or programs for its members in conjunction
with the Office of Court Administration.
To encourage respect for the law and the
administration of justice.
To observe rules governing privileged
communications and confidential information.
To promote and exemplify high standards of
loyalty, cooperation and courtesy with the public, with the
municipalities in which the Courts are located and with all agencies
with whom the Courts interact.
To perform all duties of the profession with
integrity and competence and to pursue a high order of professional
attainment.
To remember that all members of this
organization are bound by the objectives and purposes as set forth
in this Article.
